Dr Sam Bettison (Chiropractor)
B Chiro Sc, M Chiro
Sam is an experienced chiropractor who has been working in Sydney and the Canberra region since early 2010. He attained his Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and Master of Chiropractic degrees, completing his studies at Macquarie University in 2009. Since then he has regularly exceeded his professional development requirements in order to improve his skills as a practitioner, by attending various workshops and seminars. He has completed the Level 1 and 2 seminars in both the SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment) and FMS (Functional Movement Screen), and is currently the only practitioner in the ACT to have completed seminars in ART (Active Release Technique) covering the entire body, as well as for certain advanced ART techniques. As such, an aspect of treatment with Sam is the assessment and correction of movement dysfunctions, with the aim of the return to normal activity as quickly and completely as possible.
Sam has a particular interest in working with sports-related injuries and issues, treating people from a range of sporting backgrounds. Sam’s own experience in marathons and CrossFit enables him to better understand the needs and requirements of athletes. He can help you manage your acute or chronic injury, and return to training, whatever your current sport or level of involvement.
Sam has treated at sporting events including at the IRONMAN World Championships in Kona, Hawai’i, and at the Pacific Regional CrossFit Games in Wollongong. He is the in-house chiropractor at Adapt CrossFit and currently operates a clinic at the gym four days a week.
